In an earlier post I had moaned about the journey down to Cornwall being uninteresting, but when returning home I remembered a couple of land marks that stand out even if they are viewed from the motorway near Bridgwater. They are right beside each other.

The giant Willowman statue looming 40 feet high, overlooking the M5 and the giant Morrisons supermarket distribution centre..
The Willowman or Withyman as it’s know locally was built in 2000 by artist Serena de la Hey using a steel frame wrapped with willow. It is actually the second one as the original was burnt down by vandals in May 2001
